Portfolio: Gerhard Trumler

Born in 1937. He is one of the most notable Austrian photographers. Having had various occupations, in 1966 he finished his study of photography in Vienna. He has worked as a freelance photographer in his own atelier since 1969, first in advertising, gramophone and computer industry, as well as banking. He published his work in important European and transatlantic magazines, and he also published about 150 books of his own and over 200 portfolios with cultural as well as social-critical themes.

 

Portfolio: Tomek Niewiadomski

Tomek Niewiadomski was born in 1974. Acquired his knowledge and experience in the field of photography in Australia, Poland and in the USA. He studied under such photographers as David Michael Kennedy and Paul Aresu. Niewiadomski graduated from The School of Fine Arts – Photography in Sydney. Since 2006 he‘s been cooperating with Yohji Yamamoto Inc. in Tokyo, Japan.

Department of visual media of Academy of Fine Arts Bratislava, part-time lecturer since 1991 and full–time lecturer since 2007.
Department of Art Communication of Academy of s.Cyril and Metod in Trnava, full-time lecturer since 2006. Pursues stage and documentary photography.

 

Portfolio: Marcello Materassi

Marcello Materassi, 61 years old, born in Florence, where currently lives. Since 1996 he takes part in national and international contests, gaining over 130 prizes and more than 1700 acceptances. Numerous personal shows: thirty in Italy and twenty abroad (Croatia, Turkey, France, Greece, Romania, Serbia, Switzerland, Ukraine and China). His photos are published in various magazines, and in many editions of FIAF (Italian Federation of Photographic Associations) year-book.
In 2002 he received the honour of AFIAP (Artiste FIAP) and EFIAP (Excellence FIAP) in 2005.

 

Portfolio: Joanna Kustra

Born in south-eastern Poland in February, 1984. Her artistic skills developed quite early, since childhood she has been fascinated with music playing the piano and oboe. In the meantime she studied linguistics. Her adventure with photography began at the age of 22 and in a short time from a hobby developed a true passion and a way of living. She is a self-taught photographer, from the very beginning fascinated with people, portraits and fashion photography. Now lives and works both in Krakow and London. Portfolio: Roland S. Heim

Born in May 1962 in Bregenz (Austria). Self-taught, participant at seminars with acclaimed photographers, including two renowned British top photographers, David Penprase and Bob Elsdale. Favourite photo themes: artistic landscapes, people, including nudes.In some of his more recent work it is difficult to tell the difference between photography and painting.He does not take commissions, he only pursues his free artistic career

Hungarian Photographers

A renowned Hungarian photographer, Péter Korniss, a long-standing jury member at the Czech Press Photo competition, now introduces the work of his colleagues to PhotoArt. The presented pictures were made by Imre Benkö and György Stalter, who was partially assisted in his work by his wife, Judit M. Horvát.
